Do you have an Engineering background ideally with previous experience of HR payroll systems?  If so, then we would love to hear from you. 
This is an exciting position for a Senior Systems Engineer to work within the Technology department based at Asda House in the centre of Leeds.  It's a technically varied position where you will be providing Technical Expertise and Design contribution as part of ASDA's Pay & HR Systems Strategy. This role is a key position within ASDA Technology and will be called upon to resolve the highest level strategic technical challenges and issues. You will also be involved in dealing with any escalated service issues and coaching engineers to resolution. 



Analyse customer requirements and advise on technical viability, cost and complexity

Work with Architects, Technical Suppliers and Project Managers to build high quality Solutions and set optimised delivery approach

Develop Estimates and Technical Designs

Assist in finding solutions for any design defects

Be involved in the writing/co-ordination of Functional Design Specifications and associated documents.

Provide support to Service and Support teams to ensure optimal resolution of incidents and delivery of planned activities. 



You'll have a technical engineering background along with experience of designing Pay & HR Systems in a complex environment with different levels of abstraction.  Ideally you'll also have previous experience of working with mainframe and databases.
