Advanced Software Engineer

ASDA Technology is going through a significant transformation from a traditional delivery organisation, to a Digital and DevOps based model with a relentless focus on our customer. We are increasing the team this year and an opportunity is available for an Advanced Software Engineer to join one of our Scrum Teams.


You'll need to have hands on experience with front end languages including one or more JavaScript Frameworks ideally in a mobile environment, in return you'll get to see the Applications your team build being used by Colleagues and external Customers.



Help transform Asda from being a traditional multi-channel retailer, to being a true Digital Retailer

Deliver high quality technical designs for new or existing Applications

Take account for the quality of work produced by the team, using appropriate tools and techniques

Drive up knowledge and skills within the team to ensure all members can consistently deliver to quality; this includes internal colleagues and strategic partners



You'll have hands on experience with front end languages including one or more JavaScript Frameworks and Runtimes (e.g. React, React Native, NodeJS).  You'll have experience with source code management systems and CI/CD pipelines and experience in working with different delivery methodologies including: Agile (Scrum, Kanban), ScrumFall.
